A major political gathering in Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State has thrown its weight behind the continuation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, member representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency Alhassan Ado Doguwa and other elected officials under the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement came during a large stakeholders’ meeting organized under the platform of Tudun Wada LGA for the Best Group, where political leaders, community figures and party supporters gathered to deliberate on the future of the area and the nation.
Speaking at the event, Nura Muhammad Dankadai, who is the APC Caucus Chairman of Tudun Wada Local Government, said the people of Tudun Wada had resolved to support tested and experienced leaders who have demonstrated commitment to governance and development.
He described Alhassan Ado Doguwa as a consistent political force whose repeated electoral victories over the years reflected the confidence reposed in him by the people.
According to Dankadai, Doguwa’s long political journey from the days of NRC and SDP to the present democratic era showed resilience, loyalty and sustained service to his constituency.
On Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Dankadai commended what he described as remarkable achievements in infrastructure renewal, social welfare programmes, women empowerment and youth development across Kano State.
He said the governor’s performance within the last three years had positioned Kano on a new path of growth and inclusive governance.
Speaking on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dankadai urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive, noting that the administration had inherited serious national challenges which would require time, commitment and strategic reforms to overcome.
He stated that the forum believed the President had already laid a solid foundation capable of repositioning the country for long-term stability and progress.
Also speaking, member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Sule Lawan Shuwaki, commended Alhassan Ado Doguwa and the APC-led administration for executing developmental projects across Tudun Wada Local Government Area.
He said the visible impact of the projects had further strengthened public confidence in the party and encouraged residents to sustain their support for the APC ahead of future elections.
The stakeholders also pledged to mobilize massive support to ensure the return of President Tinubu, Governor Abba Yusuf, Doguwa and Kawu Sumaila in 2027.
Another community leader, Yusuf Musa Janmaje, said many families in the area had benefited from Doguwa’s interventions, including employment opportunities in strategic agencies such as NNPC Limited and sponsorship of over 500 youths in their educational pursuits.
Several speakers at the gathering highlighted Doguwa’s decades of representation and contributions to the development of Tudun Wada Local Government Area, while calling for more attention to youth education, job creation and infrastructural expansion.
They also appealed to traditional rulers, political actors and community stakeholders to continue promoting peace and unity in the area, stressing that Tudun Wada remains a major farming and commercial hub deserving greater federal presence and intervention.
