Governor Abba Yusuf Commends Na’ima Idris Kitchen for Quality Feeding of Kano Pilgrims in Makkah

Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has praised Na’ima Idris Kitchen for its outstanding services in providing quality meals to Kano State pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The governor made the commendation during an interactive session with Kano pilgrims following the completion of this year’s Hajj rites. He disclosed that since arriving in Makkah, he has personally been eating the same meals served to the pilgrims, giving him firsthand experience of the quality and standard of the food being provided.
According to Governor Yusuf, the meals have consistently met expectations in terms of quality, taste, and hygiene, reflecting the company’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of the pilgrims.
“Since my arrival in Makkah, I have been eating the same food served to our pilgrims. I can confidently say that Na’ima Idris Kitchen is doing an excellent job by providing nutritious, hygienic, and delicious meals,” the governor stated.
Governor Yusuf further revealed that he personally visited the company’s catering facilities and kitchens where meals for Kano pilgrims are prepared. He expressed satisfaction with the level of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism observed during the inspection.
In separate remarks, the Amirul Hajj for Kano State in 2026, Dr. Ibrahim Aliyu Abdulkadir, and the Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, also affirmed that Kano pilgrims have been enjoying adequate and high-quality meals throughout their stay in Makkah, courtesy of Na’ima Idris Kitchen.
They noted that the consistent supply of quality food has contributed significantly to the comfort and well-being of the pilgrims, enabling them to focus fully on their religious obligations.
Speaking on the return journey of the pilgrims to Nigeria, Governor Yusuf urged them to remain patient while awaiting transportation arrangements.
He disclosed that the designated airline has scheduled June 24, 2026, as the commencement date for the airlift of Kano pilgrims back to Nigeria. However, he assured them that the state government would continue engaging relevant stakeholders to explore the possibility of securing an earlier departure date.
The governor also thanked the pilgrims for representing Kano State and Nigeria positively during the Hajj and prayed for the acceptance of their pilgrimage and their safe return home.
