REA Management Visits Finance Minister to Strengthen Rural Electrification Drive
The management of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding energy access across Nigeria following a high-level courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Finance, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele.
The Executive Director, Technical Services of the REA, Engr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, FNSE, joined the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Abba Aliyu Abubakar, during the strategic engagement aimed at strengthening collaboration between the agency and the Ministry of Finance.
The meeting centered on fostering strategic partnerships and exploring innovative financing mechanisms to accelerate rural electrification projects nationwide. Discussions also focused on expanding access to reliable and affordable electricity for underserved communities, a critical component of Nigeria’s socio-economic development agenda.
