Gov. Yusuf Salutes Sanusi at 65, Praises Courage, Vision and Service
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has felicitated the Emir of Kano, His Highness Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, PhD, CON, on his 65th birthday, describing the revered monarch as a courageous, visionary and selfless leader whose contributions continue to shape Kano, Nigeria and the international community.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Governor’s Director General, Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf said Emir Sanusi’s wisdom, courage and unwavering commitment to justice have inspired generations of leaders and citizens.
The Governor commended the Emir’s outstanding contributions to nation-building, education, economic development and the preservation of Kano’s rich cultural and religious heritage, noting that his decades of public service have earned him widespread respect both within Nigeria and beyond.
He also applauded the monarch’s steadfast commitment to promoting peace, unity and good governance, as well as his advocacy for quality education, women and youth empowerment, sustainable development and economic reforms.
According to Governor Yusuf, Emir Sanusi’s leadership remains a beacon of hope and progress, reflecting the enduring values of integrity, service and visionary leadership.
The Governor prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Emir good health, long life and continued wisdom as he leads the Kano Emirate and contributes to the growth and development of Kano State and Nigeria.
Governor Yusuf further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the traditional institution in advancing policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people and sustaining Kano’s position as a centre of excellence.
