APC Clears Dr. Jamil Gwamna for 2027 Gombe Governorship Race
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially cleared Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna to contest the 2027 governorship election in Gombe State, following the successful completion of the party’s screening process held in Abuja.
The screening exercise took place at the Kaduna State Governor’s Lodge, Plot 37, Jose Marti Street, Asokoro, Abuja, in accordance with the provisions of the APC constitution and the party’s internal guidelines regulating nominations and electoral participation.
Chairman of the screening committee, Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye, confirmed that Dr. Gwamna satisfactorily met all constitutional and procedural requirements necessary to participate in the APC governorship process ahead of the forthcoming election.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Dr. Gwamna expressed gratitude to the leadership of the APC for what he described as a transparent, credible, and thorough process aimed at strengthening internal democracy within the ruling party.
“I am honoured to have successfully gone through this important constitutional process of our great party. This exercise further strengthens confidence in the democratic values and internal structures of the APC,” he stated.
Dr. Gwamna reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining and expanding the developmental achievements recorded in Gombe State under the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON.
According to him, his vision is centered on inclusive governance, improved public welfare, and accelerated development across all sectors of the state.
“Our vision is to ensure that Gombe State works better for every citizen, regardless of background or status. We are committed to building on existing achievements while introducing new ideas that will further improve the lives of our people,” he added.
The governorship aspirant also commended the leadership of Governor Inuwa Yahaya and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that their developmental strides and governance reforms have continued to strengthen public confidence in the APC at both the state and national levels.
He maintained that the achievements recorded under the current administrations would further energize the party’s support base and enhance the APC’s appeal ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Gwamna further called on APC members and supporters across Gombe State to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the collective progress of the party.
He stressed that unity, mutual respect, and shared dedication to development remain critical to ensuring the APC’s continued success in the state.
