Hajj 2026: Kano Pilgrims’ Board Confirms Visa Clearance for All Registered Pilgrims, Dismisses Rumours
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed that visas for all registered pilgrims from the state for the 2026 Hajj have been successfully received, printed and attached to their international passports.
The Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this while speaking from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, assuring intending pilgrims and the general public that there are no challenges affecting the visa processing for Kano pilgrims.
Board Urges Public to Ignore False Information ⚠️
According to the Director General, all registered pilgrims from Kano State have had their visas printed and properly documented, stressing that reports suggesting delays or complications in visa issuance are unfounded.
He therefore urged intending pilgrims and members of the public to disregard rumours and avoid spreading unverified information, fake online links or misleading messages capable of causing confusion or unnecessary anxiety.
The Board’s reassurance comes amid growing concerns among some intending pilgrims over the status of travel documentation for the forthcoming pilgrimage.
Officials in Saudi Arabia Finalising Arrangements 🕋
Alhaji Matawalle further explained that officials of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board are currently in Saudi Arabia working round the clock to ensure that all logistics and welfare arrangements are adequately put in place for a smooth and successful Hajj exercise.
He noted that the Board remains committed to safeguarding the welfare, safety and proper coordination of Kano pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage period.
Basic Travel Allowance Processing Ongoing 💰
The Director General also disclosed that the Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) for intending pilgrims is currently being processed, assuring pilgrims that necessary steps are being taken to ensure timely disbursement before departure.
