The Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has conducted the second round of examinations for teachers aspiring to become Education Secretaries across the 27 local government areas of the state.
The Executive Chairman of the Board, Professor Haruna Musa, disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.
According to him, 129 teachers participated in the second round of the examination, out of the 159 candidates who took part in the first round held at the Federal University Dutse.
Professor Musa explained that the examination focused on identifying challenges faced by schools under the board and evaluating the candidatesโ ability to propose practical solutions.
He added that the teachers would also undergo a computer-based test designed to assess their competence in writing reports and communicating electronically.
Radio Nigeria reports that university lecturers have been invited to supervise the examinations and help select the most suitable candidates for appointment as Education Secretaries.
