Kano State House of Assembly Commends IsDB/LLF Projects for Quality Infrastructure Development

In a recent assessment, the Kano State House of Assembly lauded the contributions of the Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project (KSADP), expressing confidence that its large-scale initiatives will endure and benefit the state long-term. Following an inspection of several infrastructure projects, including the Gwale Veterinary Reference Laboratory and various newly constructed roads, Ahmad Ibrahim Karaye, Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, praised the high quality and compliance of the projects with required standards.

“I am not only surprised but impressed. For a long time, I have not seen projects of such quality,” Karaye remarked, highlighting the importance of such initiatives for sustainable development. The legislator expressed his appreciation for the veterinary clinic facilities and the well-constructed roads, asserting that even skeptics would recognize the value of the work accomplished.

Karaye urged other ministries and state agencies to follow the exemplary model set by KSADP to accelerate the state’s development. He extended his gratitude to the Islamic Development Bank and the Lives and Livelihoods Fund (LLF) for their investment in the state, emphasizing the need to maintain this collaborative spirit.

Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, State Project Coordinator for KSADP, noted that the inspection would help the assembly better understand the project’s achievements and ongoing challenges, expressing hope for legislative support to address these issues effectively.

This initiative showcases a commitment to enhancing agricultural infrastructure and reflects the positive impact of partnerships geared towards sustainable development in Kano State.
