DG Commends Na’ima Idris Kitchen for Quality Feeding of Kano Pilgrims in Makkah

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has commended Na’ima Idris Kitchen for maintaining high standards in the provision of meals to Kano State pilgrims performing the 2026 Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Matawalle made the commendation while briefing journalists in Makkah after inspecting the catering facilities and assessing the quality of meals being served to pilgrims.
The Director General said the kitchen had lived up to expectations by consistently providing quality, nutritious and hygienically prepared meals to Kano pilgrims.
According to him, he personally sampled some of the meals being served and was highly impressed by both the taste and quality of the food.
“I personally tested the food and I am satisfied with its taste, quality and the manner in which it is being prepared and served to our pilgrims,” he stated.
Alhaji Matawalle noted that adequate and nutritious feeding remains an important aspect of pilgrims’ welfare, especially during the physically demanding period of Hajj, adding that the Board would continue to monitor all service providers to ensure compliance with agreed standards.
He expressed satisfaction with the feedback received from pilgrims regarding the catering services and encouraged the management of Na’ima Idris Kitchen to sustain the high standard it has maintained since the commencement of the Hajj operations.
The Director General reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and the Kano State Government to ensuring the comfort and welfare of pilgrims throughout their stay in the holy land.
He also assured pilgrims that all arrangements put in place for the Hajj exercise, including transportation, accommodation and feeding, were progressing smoothly and according to plan.
