Kano Shines at National Agricultural Show 2025, Secures Wide Recognition for Quality and Innovation
Kano State earned widespread commendation at the 2025 National Agricultural Show held in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, where it joined 35 other states and the FCT in showcasing agricultural innovations and products at the annual event.
The Kano delegation was led by the Special Adviser on Crop Production, Professor Abba Garba Gaya, who represented the Executive Governor of Kano State. He was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Livestock Development, the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the Managing Director of Kano State Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO) Ltd, Kabir Sani Yakubu.
KASCO’s impressive display of high-quality fertilizers and other agricultural inputs drew strong applause and recognition from various state contingents, who praised the company’s consistent adherence to quality and production standards. Exhibits presented by the Ministry of Agriculture also attracted commendation for meeting—and in many cases exceeding—the benchmarks set for the national showcase.
Officials noted that these achievements reflect the unwavering commitment of the Executive Governor of Kano State to strengthening agriculture and livestock production across the state. The state government fully sponsored Kano’s participation in the national event, reaffirming its support for initiatives that advance food security and rural development.
Speaking at the event, Kabir Sani Yakubu reaffirmed the governor’s determination to ensure that farmers across Kano continue to access affordable, sufficient, and high-quality agricultural inputs.
With its outstanding performance at this year’s show, Kano State returns home with remarkable recognition—further solidifying its status as one of the country’s leading agricultural powerhouses.
