Kano Pilgrims Board Pledges Safety of Pilgrims, Strengthens Ties With Security Agencies

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reiterated its commitment to protecting the lives and property of pilgrims from Kano State ahead of pilgrimage activities.

Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, made this known while receiving the Commander of the 3 Brigade, A.M. Tukur, during a courtesy visit to the Board’s office.

Matawalle said the Board has, since his assumption of office, prioritized building cordial relationships with security agencies to ensure maximum protection for intending pilgrims from the state.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Tukur said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration and synergy between the Nigerian Army and the Pilgrims Welfare Board in Kano.

In a related development, the Director General also hosted leaders of the All Progressives Congress from Kankarofi Ward in Kano Municipal Local Government, where he distributed Federal Government assistance forms to support members of the community.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Sha’aibu Gambo and Nura Bako commended the Director General for his support and leadership.

Also, members of the Abba/Tinubu Support Organization led by Sa’ad Sulaiman Gezawa paid a courtesy visit to the Board.
