Ahmad Tijjani Salutes Kano Assembly, Hails Garo as Best Choice for Deputy Governor
A former Permanent Secretary in the Kano State Civil Service, Malam Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi, has congratulated Hon. Murtala Sule Garo on his confirmation and appointment as the new Deputy Governor of Kano State, describing his emergence as the best possible choice for the position.
Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi stated this in a goodwill message shortly after the Kano State House of Assembly confirmed Murtala Sule Garo to replace Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam, who recently resigned from office.
According to the former top civil servant, the decision by the Assembly has once again demonstrated commitment to stability, continuity and the overall development of Kano State.
He noted that Murtala Sule Garo is a seasoned administrator and experienced politician whose wealth of knowledge in governance and public service would greatly complement the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi expressed confidence that the new Deputy Governor would contribute immensely to policy implementation, political harmony and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Kano State.
He added that the combination of Governor Yusuf’s leadership style and Garo’s political experience would usher in a new phase of transformation across strategic sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment and economic growth.
The former Permanent Secretary further called on residents of Kano State to give the new Deputy Governor their full cooperation and support in order to ensure the success of the present administration.
He also praised members of the Kano State House of Assembly for what he described as their patriotism, maturity and commitment in selecting a competent and capable personality to occupy the exalted office of Deputy Governor.
According to him, the lawmakers have proven once more that the interest of Kano people remains paramount in their legislative decisions.
