High Court Voids NNPP NWC’s Dissolution of Kano Party Structures, Reaffirms Abiya-Led Exco
In a major legal and political development, the High Court has reversed the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) dissolving the party’s State, Local Government and Ward Executive Committees in Kano State.
The court ruled that the action taken by the NNPP NWC amounts to contempt of court, stressing that the matter is already subject to judicial determination. Consequently, the court ordered all parties to maintain the status quo ante, pending the final resolution of the substantive suit.
