Gov. Yusuf Celebrates France’s National Day, Pushes for Stronger Kano-France Development Partnership

Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated the Government and people of France on the occasion of the country’s National Day, reaffirming Kano State’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with France in critical sectors of development.
Governor Yusuf made the remarks during an interactive session held at the French Embassy in Abuja to commemorate the celebration, where he led a delegation of senior Kano State Government officials.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor congratulated the French Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Marc Fonbaustier, on behalf of the Government and people of Kano State, wishing France continued peace, prosperity and progress.
Governor Yusuf commended the enduring relationship between Nigeria and France, describing it as a strategic partnership that has continued to foster development, friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries.
He called for enhanced collaboration between Kano State and the French Government in the areas of agriculture, renewable energy, water resources, environmental protection and education, noting that these sectors are central to the state’s development agenda.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with international partners to attract investments, improve public service delivery and create greater economic opportunities for the people of Kano State.
He expressed confidence that stronger cooperation with France would unlock new opportunities for innovation, technology transfer, skills development and sustainable growth, further advancing Kano State’s socio-economic transformation.
