Garo Expresses Gratitude to Governor Yusuf, Pledges Loyalty and Service to Kano People

The Deputy Governor nominee of Kano State, Murtala Sule Garo, has expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah and appreciation to the State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the confidence reposed in him through his nomination for the exalted office.
In a statement issued on April 22, 2026, Garo described his nomination as a great honour and a responsibility he does not take lightly, emphasizing that the gesture reflects both trust and a call to higher service to the people of Kano State.
He began by offering thanks to Allah for the gift of life, good health, and the opportunity to witness a significant moment in his political journey, while also sending blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Garo specifically commended Governor Yusuf for forwarding his name to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as Deputy Governor, noting that the decision represents a mark of respect and confidence in his capacity to serve.
“This is an honour I will never take for granted. It is not only a personal recognition but a call to shoulder greater responsibility in the service of our dear state,” he stated.
The nominee also extended heartfelt appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, members, and the entire people of Kano State for their overwhelming support, prayers, and encouragement, which he described as a source of strength and motivation.
According to him, the broad-based support he has received underscores the importance of unity and collective commitment in advancing the state’s development agenda.
Garo used the opportunity to call for unity among party leaders and members, including those who aspired for the same position, urging them to come together in the spirit of brotherhood and shared purpose to move Kano State forward.
He assured the public of his unwavering commitment to loyalty, dedication, and hard work, stressing that he would work closely with Governor Yusuf to strengthen unity, promote good governance, and support ongoing developmental initiatives.
“I will continue to dedicate myself to the service of our people, ensuring that I contribute meaningfully to the successful implementation of the Governor’s vision and policies,” he added.
Garo further pledged to support the Governor in delivering on his mandate and to contribute his quota toward accelerating development across Kano State.
