Kano Flags Off Hajj Kits Distribution, Confirms Full Readiness for Pilgrimage

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the distribution of hand luggage and uniforms to intending pilgrims, marking a major milestone in the state’s preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
Flagging off the exercise, the Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring that all registered pilgrims are fully equipped and adequately prepared for their spiritual journey.
He tasked Hajj centre officers across all Local Government Areas to coordinate the distribution effectively, stressing the need for an organized and timely process that reaches pilgrims at the grassroots level.
Matawalle further revealed that Kano State has successfully completed the processing and collection of visas for its pilgrims, assuring that all necessary arrangements for the Hajj exercise have been concluded.
According to him, the Board has made adequate provision of materials to cater for all registered pilgrims without exception. Items being distributed include hand luggage, uniforms for men, wrappers and hijabs for women, as well as Hajj guide books to support pilgrims throughout the exercise.
He also urged intending pilgrims to make proper use of the items and maintain them with care.
The development underscores Kano State’s readiness for the annual pilgrimage, with authorities reaffirming their commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free Hajj exercise.
