Kano Police Command Opens Bompai Clinic to Public, Offers 24-Hour Quality Healthcare Services

The Kano State Police Command has announced that its Police Clinic located at Bompai Headquarters is now fully operational and open to the general public, providing 24-hour access to quality healthcare services.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Command explained that the initiative is part of its commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring the well-being of residents across the state.

The NHIS-accredited facility is equipped with modern medical technology and staffed by experienced consultant surgeons, physicians, pediatricians, dentists, and other specialists. It offers a wide range of services including general outpatient care, maternity services, dental care, laboratory tests, immunization, HIV counseling, accident and emergency care, and various surgical procedures such as caesarean sections, appendectomy, herniorrhaphy, and laparotomy.

Other services available at the clinic include ultrasound scanning, electrocardiogram (ECG), pharmacy dispensary, family planning, nutrition and dietetics counseling, as well as general ward admissions.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, noted that the clinic is designed to serve not only police officers and their families but also residents of Bompai, Brigade, Dakata, Gwagwarwa, Zango, Tudun Wada, Tudun Murtala, Badawa, Nassarawa GRA, and surrounding communities.

He emphasized that healthcare is an essential part of public safety and urged residents to take advantage of the services to improve their quality of life.

The Command also reaffirmed its support for the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, who has continued to drive reforms aimed at ensuring the Nigeria Police Force contributes meaningfully to the welfare of society.
