Kano State Sets Resumption Dates: School Bells Ring on September 7th and 8th for a Fresh Academic Year

The Kano State Government has officially announced the resumption dates for the 2025/2026 academic session, signaling an exciting return to classrooms for students and educators alike. According to a statement from Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment in the Ministry of Education, boarding schools will welcome students back on Sunday, September 7, while day schools will follow suit with their resumption on Monday, September 8.

 

In a bid to ensure smooth compliance, parents and guardians have been urged to mark these important dates on their calendars. The announcement also included a stern warning that students who fail to adhere to the resumption schedule will face disciplinary actions.

 

Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, the Commissioner of Education, extended his best wishes to teachers, students, and pupils for a successful academic year. He emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to maintaining high standards of punctuality and efficiency through regular monitoring exercises in schools.

 

As the new academic session approaches, the Kano State Government remains committed to fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth for all students.
