Doguwa Joins Vice President Shettima, National Leaders at One-Year Fidda’u Prayer for Late President Muhammadu Buhari
The Chairman of the Northern Region Caucus in the House of Representatives and Member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State, Rt. Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, joined Vice President Kashim Shettima and other top government officials at the one-year Fidda’u prayer held in memory of Nigeria’s late President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The solemn prayer session took place at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre, Abuja, attracting a cross-section of national leaders, including members of the Federal Executive Council, principal officers and members of the National Assembly, governors, former public office holders, traditional rulers, Islamic scholars, and other eminent Nigerians.
The gathering offered special prayers for the repose of the soul of the late President, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and bless the family he left behind with the strength to bear the loss.
Rt. Hon. Doguwa joined Vice President Shettima and other dignitaries in praying for the late President, describing the Fidda’u as an opportunity for Nigerians to honour the memory of a leader whose decades of public service left a significant mark on the country’s political and democratic development.
He urged Nigerians to continue to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, integrity, and selfless service, noting that these ideals remain essential to building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
The prayer session ended with Islamic scholars offering collective supplications for the late President, while participants prayed for continued peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria.
The attendance of senior government officials, political leaders, and other distinguished Nigerians reflected the enduring respect and honour accorded to the late President Muhammadu Buhari and his contributions to national development.
