The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended his heartfelt condolences to prominent businessman and political figure, Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, following the death of his brother, Musa Abdulkarim Zaura.
The governor paid a solemn condolence visit to the Zaura family on Monday, describing the loss as painful not only to the immediate family but also to the wider Kano community.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mustapha Muhammad, the visit was a demonstration of the state government’s solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Governor Yusuf prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus. He also urged the family to find strength and comfort in faith, noting that death is an inevitable passage for all.
“I condole with the family of AA Zaura on behalf of the government and the good people of Kano State. May Allah grant the deceased eternal peace and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” the governor was quoted as saying.
The condolence visit was attended by a high-powered delegation, including representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at both national and local levels, commissioners, special advisers, and other top government officials.
The visit underscores the deep ties within Kano’s political and social circles, as leaders across party lines continue to show unity in moments of grief.
