Makinde, Kwankwaso Hold Closed-Door Meeting in Ibadan

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday received the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan, where both leaders held a closed-door meeting.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the meeting, Governor Makinde clarified that the visit was not politically motivated, describing it as a courtesy engagement.

Although details of the discussions were not disclosed, the meeting has drawn attention amid ongoing political realignments across the country.

Kwankwaso’s visit comes a few weeks after Governor Makinde paid a visit to former Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, in Minna, Niger State.

Observers say the series of high-profile consultations could further shape conversations within Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
