Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has restated his administration’s commitment to prioritising education through new investments in school safety, personnel recruitment and measures aimed at raising learning standards across public secondary schools.

According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the recent recruitment of 1,600 school watchmen and 400 Mathematics teachers represents another phase of the government’s ongoing reforms to strengthen the sector.

Governor Yusuf said the new appointments are part of a comprehensive effort to rebuild the education system through improved supervision, strategic policy implementation, infrastructure upgrades and continuous training for teaching and non-teaching staff.

He commended the Commissioner of Education and the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) for their commitment to executing the administration’s programmes and ensuring that reforms translate into real improvements in school environments.

The governor assured residents that more interventions are underway to enhance the quality of public education and secure better learning outcomes for children across the state.
