Kebbi Government Engages Private Security Agency To Reinforce Fight Against Banditry

The Kebbi State Government has taken a major step toward bolstering security operations across the state by partnering with a global private security consortium, G-Safety, to support the ongoing fight against banditry and related crimes.
Governor Nasiru Idris announced the development when he received a delegation of security experts from China at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
Describing the engagement as timely and strategic, the Governor said the consortium’s expertise will strengthen the capacity of existing security agencies and improve their ability to respond to emerging security challenges.
“We invited this team to work closely with our local security agencies so that they can learn, adapt, and effectively respond to the unique challenges facing some local government areas in the state,”
Governor Idris explained.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Ahmed Saleh Junior, Security Consultant for G-Safety, said the firm is a global leader in integrated security systems, headquartered in Beijing, China, with over 36 branches worldwide.
He noted that G-Safety provides comprehensive security solutions for governments and institutions, including intelligence support, surveillance systems, and crisis management frameworks.
Ahmed Saleh further emphasized that Kebbi State, like other parts of the Northwestern region, has faced security challenges linked to banditry, terrorism, and the activities of the Lakurawa group. He added that G-Safety’s collaboration would complement federal and state efforts in restoring lasting peace and stability across the region.
With this partnership, the Idris-led administration continues to demonstrate its resolve to protect lives and property through modern, technology-driven security strategies.
