Governor Yusuf Condoles with Prof. Nura Yaro Over Mother’s Death
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Prof. Nura Yaro Dawakin Tofa, Associate Professor of Environmental Management and Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Northwest University, Kano, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Hafsat Yusuf Yaro Alajawa.
In a statement by the governor’s spokesperson Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa the deceased, aged 75, passed away today at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a protracted illness.
She was buried according to islamic rites today, 30th September, 2025, at the residence of her eldest son, Prof. Nura Yaro, at Dawakin Tofa GRA by 1:00 pm.
Governor Yusuf described the passing of Hajiya Hafsat as a great loss, not only to her immediate family but also to the Dawakin Tofa community and Kano State at large.
He prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant the departed eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and to give her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
