Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Manager, Ibrahim Yaro, Loses Mother at 73

Kano, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 —
The Manager of News at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM, Kano, Ibrahim Yaro Dawakin Tofa, has lost his beloved mother, Hajiya Hafsat Yusuf Alajawa, who passed away today after a prolonged illness.
She died at the age of seventy-three (73), leaving behind children, grandchildren, relatives, and numerous admirers who remember her as a kind, prayerful, and community-oriented woman.
Among her children is Professor Nura Yaro, the Dean, Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at North West University, Kano, as well as seasoned broadcaster Ibrahim Yaro Dawakin Tofa, who currently serves as Manager of News at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM.
Family sources confirmed that she has since been buried this afternoon in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Friends, colleagues, and members of the journalism and academic communities across Nigeria have begun sending messages of condolence to the family, describing the death of Hajiya Hafsat as a huge personal and communal loss.
Meanwhile, staff of Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM have expressed deep sympathy, praying for Allah’s mercy upon the soul of the deceased and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
Hajiya Hafsat Yusuf Alajawa is remembered for her resilience, piety, and generosity throughout her lifetime.
