NOA Reaffirms Commitment to Changing Nigerians’ Mindset for Peace, Unity and Development

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has reiterated its determination to reshape the mindset of Nigerians towards peace, unity, and national development.

The Sokoto State Director of the Agency, Malam Babangida Kurfi, gave the assurance at a town hall meeting organized to sensitize the public on Federal Government policies and programmes anchored on five thematic areas.

According to him, the focus areas include national security awareness, the impact of flooding and disaster mitigation, government intervention projects, promotion of national values, and strengthening Nigerians’ identity for effective service delivery.

Kurfi explained that the Agency has designed modalities to drive this transformation by partnering with opinion leaders, traditional institutions, security agencies, media practitioners, and concerned citizens. He noted that such collaboration would enhance socio-security and economic development across the country.

Highlighting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the NOA director said the administration has rolled out various intervention programmes aimed at cushioning the hardships facing Nigerians and restoring public confidence in governance.

Kurfi further identified major road projects and infrastructural developments currently being executed in the Northwest under the Renewed Hope Initiative. He also emphasized that, as part of the new security architecture, the Chief of Defence Staff has directed the creation of specialised military units to ensure rapid response to banditry and insurgency in the region.

The NOA urged Nigerians to embrace these initiatives and work collectively towards fostering peace, unity, and prosperity.
