President Tinubu Embarks on State Visit to Brazil Following Successful Engagements in Japan

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially departed Yokohama, Japan, en route to Brazil for a state visit scheduled to commence on August 24. The announcement of his departure was made by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

 

Prior to his arrival in Brazil, President Tinubu will make a brief stopover in Los Angeles. This trip marks the continuation of his two-nation visit that began on August 15, when he left Abuja. His delegation made a notable stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before reaching Japan on August 18.

 

During his time in Japan, President Tinubu participated in the opening ceremony and plenary sessions of the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) on August 20. His visit included a series of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening ties between Nigeria and Japan, culminating in an engagement with the Nigerian diaspora in Japan on Thursday night.

 

As President Tinubu heads to Brazil, expectations are high for discussions that will further enhance Nigeria’s international relations and economic partnerships.
