The Office of the Accountant General, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Kano State, successfully organized a technical session on Kano State IPSAS Accrual financial statements for the year ended 2024. Themed “Accountability and Transparency in the Management of Public Funds,” the session underscored the state government’s dedication to promoting probity and accountability in public finance management.
Hajiya Jamila Magaji Abdullahi FCNA, the state’s Accountant General, welcomed participants, comprising professionals and trusted individuals, and assured them of full governmental support and blessings. She expressed optimism that the outcome of the session would be favorable to all stakeholders.
Alhaji Rabiu Abdullahi, a key speaker and resource person, commended His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for fulfilling his electoral promises and exceeding expectations. Abdullahi emphasized that the session marked a crucial step in preparing Kano State’s annual financial statements, aligning with the present administration’s efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in public fund management.
This initiative aims to block financial leakages, empower the government to concentrate on delivering democratic dividends, and create an environment conducive to investment and job creation. Abdullahi appealed to the public to support the administration through prayers and well wishes.
