BREAKING: Abducted Retired General Reportedly Dies in Captivity Two Weeks After Kidnapping
Retired Major General Abubakar Rabe, who was abducted alongside his wife in Katsina State two weeks ago, has reportedly died while in captivity.
The retired military officer and his wife were kidnapped near the Matazu area of Katsina State while travelling to attend a wedding ceremony.
Before reports of his death emerged, Rabe appeared in a video circulated on social media in which he and his wife were seen conveying demands made by their captors. The kidnappers reportedly demanded the release of detained bandits and the return of seized livestock.
The video, which lasted four minutes and two seconds, showed the couple standing as they appealed for the fulfilment of the kidnappers’ conditions.
