Garo Hosts Kankarofi, Shekarau Shura Council, Rallies Support for Governor Yusuf’s Re-Election
The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Murtala Sule Garo, on Wednesday received prominent political stakeholders and community leaders on separate courtesy visits at the Government House, Kano, where discussions centered on unity, good governance, and sustained support for the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Among the visitors was former Chief of Staff to the Kano State Government, Ibrahim Muhammad Kankarofi, who paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor as part of ongoing consultations with key political figures in the state.
Garo also welcomed members of the Shekarau Shura Advisory Council, led by Umar Musa Mustapha, during a separate engagement held at the Government House.
During the meetings, the delegations reaffirmed their confidence in and support for the administration of Governor Yusuf and his deputy, pledging continued cooperation towards the development and progress of Kano State.
In a related development, the Deputy Governor received former members of the All Progressives Congress State Working Committee in Kano, who also paid a courtesy visit to discuss issues of mutual political interest and the future of governance in the state.
Addressing the visitors, Garo emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and collective responsibility among political stakeholders and supporters. He urged party faithful and grassroots mobilizers to remain steadfast and committed as preparations gather momentum ahead of Governor Yusuf’s anticipated re-election campaign.
The Deputy Governor noted that maintaining cohesion and strengthening collaboration across political and community structures would be vital to consolidating the achievements recorded by the current administration and expanding its support base throughout Kano State.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering people-oriented policies and projects, stressing that sustained public support and political harmony remain essential ingredients for continued development and progress in the state.
