A FAREWELL TO A TEACHER, FATHER, AND MENTOR

Class of ’98 Pays Tribute to Malam Ibrahim Zangina

As Malam Ibrahim Zangina bows out of active service, the students of Dawakin Kudu Science College, Class of 1998, have paid glowing tribute to a man they describe as not only an exceptional teacher but also a father, mentor, and guardian whose impact transcended the classroom.

In a statement issued on behalf of the class, Chairman Hassan Inuwa Muhammad expressed profound appreciation for Malam Zangina’s years of dedicated service to education and humanity.

According to the statement, Malam Zangina played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of countless students through his commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and moral upbringing.

“You were more than a teacher to us. You were a father, guardian, mentor, and role model. While you taught us lessons from books in the classroom, you also taught us the values of integrity, responsibility, and hard work that continue to guide us today,” the statement read.

The former students noted that his patience, wisdom, and unwavering dedication helped mould many of them into responsible citizens and successful professionals across different fields of endeavour.

They further stated that although he may be retiring from active service, the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire generations of students who had the privilege of learning under his guidance.

“The teaching profession will miss your voice of wisdom, your corrections delivered with love, and your steadfast commitment to excellence. However, the lessons you imparted will remain with us for a lifetime,” the statement added.

The Class of 1998 also offered prayers for Allah’s continued blessings upon their beloved teacher, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to reward him abundantly, grant him good health, peace, and happiness in the years ahead.

As Malam Ibrahim Zangina begins a new chapter of life, his former students affirm that his contributions to education and character development will never be forgotten.
