Garo Enters Kano Power Circle, Promises Loyalty, Stability, and Political Direction

The newly sworn-in Deputy Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Murtala Sule Garo, has formally stepped into the state’s highest decision-making circle, pledging unwavering loyalty, political stability, and a clear sense of direction in governance.
Delivering his acceptance speech shortly after taking the oath of office, Garo described his emergence as a strategic responsibility at a critical time in Kano’s political landscape. He assured that his role would be firmly aligned with strengthening the administration’s mandate and advancing its core priorities.
“I accept this responsibility with humility and a deep sense of duty. I am fully committed to supporting the vision of this administration and ensuring that the trust placed in us translates into tangible results for our people,” he stated.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the need for unity within the political structure and across the state, noting that cohesive leadership remains key to sustaining progress and stability. He reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with all stakeholders to consolidate governance gains and maintain political harmony.
Garo further signaled his intention to play an active role in shaping policy direction, strengthening institutional coordination, and reinforcing the administration’s connection with the grassroots.
He also called on party members, supporters, and the wider public to remain steadfast in their support, stressing that collective effort is essential in defending the mandate and delivering meaningful development.
Garo expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, for finding him worthy of the position of Deputy Governor. He also commended the Kano State House of Assembly for its diligent screening and confirmation, describing the process as a demonstration of democratic responsibility and institutional strength. He further extended his gratitude to the good people of Kano State for their overwhelming support, goodwill, and prayers, assuring them that he will not disappoint in the discharge of his duties.
With his entry into the Kano power circle, expectations are high that the administration will gain renewed political strength, strategic coordination, and a sharper focus on governance outcomes.
