BREAKING: ADC leaders ask INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan to resign, saying the chairman and commissioners have taken sides with the ruling APC, and can’t be trusted to conduct the 2027 general elections.
They also announced that the ADC will proceed with its programmes, citing no law making INEC’s attendance mandatory. The opposition leaders also called on the international community to take note of INEC’s actions on April 1st and the restraint they are exercising today.
They finally called on Nigerians to defend democracy and resist any attempt to impose a one-party state on the country.
