Abuja, March 27, 2026 — The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has returned Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as its National Chairman, while Surajudeen Basiru emerged as National Secretary at the party’s 4th Elective National Convention held Friday night at the iconic Eagle Square.

The duo were announced by the Convention Election Committee as part of a broader list of national officers elected through a consensus arrangement, underscoring the party’s emphasis on unity and internal cohesion.

The convention drew top political figures, including President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, reflecting the significance of the gathering in shaping the party’s future direction.
