NUJ NASS Chapel Honours Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa with Award of Excellence
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Assembly (NASS) Chapel, has honoured Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding legislative achievements and impactful contributions to national development.
The event, held at the National Assembly complex, brought together journalists, lawmakers, political associates and admirers who described Doguwa as a distinguished parliamentarian whose footprint in the legislature continues to shape policies and strengthen democratic governance in the country.
While receiving the award, Doguwa expressed deep appreciation to the NUJ NASS Chapel for the recognition, noting that the honour reflects years of collective effort, dedication to public service, and commitment to the well-being of the Nigerian people.
He emphasised that the award was not just a personal achievement but a tribute to the unwavering support he has continued to receive from his political base. Doguwa therefore dedicated the award to the entire All Progressives Congress (APC) family of Tudun Wada and Doguwa Federal Constituency in Kano State, describing them as the backbone of his political journey and the true beneficiaries of the honour.
“This recognition is a testament to what we have built together. I dedicate this award wholeheartedly to my APC family in Tudun Wada and Doguwa Federal Constituency. It is our collective achievement, and by the grace of Allah, more successes will come,” he stated.
The NUJ NASS Chapel noted that Doguwa was selected for the award following a careful review of his legislative contributions, including constituency development, national advocacy, and efforts toward strengthening the legislative institution.
The presentation of the Award of Excellence added to the growing list of recognitions received by the federal lawmaker, widely regarded as one of the most experienced parliamentarians in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic.
