D-Tofa Local Government Chairman Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki Appoints Professor Mamunu Mustapha as Education Secretary

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the educational landscape of the D-Tofa Local Government Area, Hon. Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki, the Chairman of D-Tofa Local Government, has officially appointed Professor Mamunu Mustapha as the new Education Secretary. Professor Mamunu Mustapha is a highly respected academic, serving as a Professor of Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology in Wudil. With over 20 years of experience in educational leadership and policy development, he has held several prominent positions, including Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Technology, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty. His extensive academic background and administrative experience make him a valuable asset to the D-Tofa Local Government.
In addition to his academic roles, Professor Mustapha has served as the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research and Innovation, Coordinator of Academic Programs at KUST Consult and Investment LTD, and Director of KUST Consults and Investment LTD. He has chaired and participated in various committees within the university, focusing on advancing educational initiatives and fostering collaboration between academia and industry. His leadership in these capacities has been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape in the region.
Professor Mustapha also has a rich history of student engagement and leadership. He previously served as the President of the Dawakin Tofa Student Association, advocating for student rights and welfare. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Dawakin Tofa Academics Forum (DAF), an association of lecturers from tertiary institutions in Dawakin Tofa, where he continues to promote academic excellence and support students in their educational pursuits.
During the announcement ceremony held at the D-Tofa Local Government Secretariat, Chairman Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki expressed his confidence in Professor Mustapha’s ability to lead the education sector. “We are thrilled to welcome Professor Mamunu Mustapha to our team.
