Pyramid FM Partners with Police to Enhance Security and Community Awareness in Kano

Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM has committed to collaborating closely with the Nigeria Police Force in Kano State. This partnership was announced during a courtesy visit by the  General Manager of Pyramid FM, Dr. Garba Ubale Danbatta, to the Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.

During the visit, Dr. Danbatta unveiled plans for a weekly one-hour program dedicated to security issues, which will serve as a platform for the police to showcase their efforts in combating crime and to educate residents on how to protect themselves from criminal activities. “The police are doing their best to ensure safety in Kano. What they need now is the cooperation of the public, particularly by providing useful intelligence. Pyramid FM is ready to support them by giving airtime for awareness programs,” he stated.

Dr. Danbatta also highlighted the recent reforms at Pyramid FM, which have enhanced the station’s reach and visibility not only within Kano but also in neighboring states. He assured the police command of the station’s continuous support, emphasizing that Pyramid FM would provide all necessary assistance to promote peace and security in the region.

In response, CP Bakori praised Dr. Danbatta for revitalizing the station in a short period, describing his leadership as progressive. “You are very important to us because you inform the public about our efforts in securing lives and property. We urge you to continue educating citizens about the importance of peace and security,”.

CP Bakori also called on other media organizations to intensify their public enlightenment efforts regarding the need for peaceful coexistence, noting that increased awareness could significantly contribute to reducing crime rates in Kano State.

This partnership between Pyramid FM and the Nigeria Police Force marks a proactive step towards fostering a safer community and enhancing public engagement in security matters, ultimately aiming for a more peaceful Kano State.
