Dawakin Tofa Local Government Awards Sunusi Bature for Excellence
The Dawakin Tofa Local Government councillors, led by the Speaker Auwalu Danbazau, awarded Sunusi Bature D-Tofa, the Director General of Media and Publicity to the Kano State Governor, with an Award of Excellence. The recognition comes as a testament to Sunusi Bature’s significant contributions to the development of the Dawakin Tofa community and his unwavering support for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) members both locally and statewide.
During the presentation, Speaker Danbazau praised Sunusi as a “true son of Dawakin Tofa,” emphasizing his dedication to the growth and upliftment of the local government. “We are confident that you represent Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s ideologies,” he stated. “Your actions serve as a clear indication that if elected to office, you will achieve even greater accomplishments.”
In his acceptance speech, Sunusi Bature dedicated the award to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Kwankwasiyya Movement. He underscored that all his endeavors align with the principles of Kwankwasiyya, highlighting the movement’s commitment to providing citizens with quality education, access to clean water, essential developmental projects, and health care delivery. “What I am doing is rooted in the teachings of Kwankwasiyya,” he asserted. “Anyone within our ranks, whether elected or appointed, not prioritizing these values is not fulfilling the mandate laid out by our leaders.”
Sunusi expressed his gratitude to the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Council for the honor and reassured them of his commitment to fostering a collaborative relationship aimed at advancing the community’s interests. “Together, we can work towards implementing the vision of Governor Yusuf for a prosperous and developed Dawakin Tofa,” he concluded.
