The APC Youth and Students Council (KASASCO) assured the good people of Kano State that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no need for the return of former Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to the party.
According to the council, Kwankwaso’s return would bring no benefit to the party, either directly or indirectly, given his clear political decline. Under the current leadership of Hon. Abdullahi Abbas, the APC in Kano State enjoys a strong position with two sitting senators, members in the House of Representatives, and the State House of Assembly.
This is contained in a statement Signed by the Director General of the Council Comrade Yahaya Usman Kabo , and made available to News men in Kano.
According to the Statement NNPP in kano is facing massive defection from its significant pillars, adding that majority of the key figures that brought it to power in 2023 general election has long dump the movement and join the ruling APC in kano. Among the defectors are the current serving senator representatives kano south Sen. Abdurrahman Kawu sumaila, which beyond doubt NNPP cannot win elections without them in the party,
Other associates are Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum ( member representing Rano, kibiya and Bunkure federal constituency), Hon. Abdullahi Sani Rogo (member representing rogo and Karaye federal constituency),Hon. Zubairu Hamza Massu( house of assembly representing Sumaila constituency), Hon. Diggol (Former Commissioner NNPP),
Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas,(Former Commissioner NNPP ), Hon. Baffa Bichi (Former SSG Kano NNPP), Shaaban Ibrahim sharada( NNPP pivot ally in 2023 elections), they all dumped the party as a result of unjust and imbalance treatment they received after all they have sacrificed to the kwankwasiyya movement in kano.
KASASCO emphasizes that the APC has successfully resolved all its past internal rifts and is fully focused on the task ahead, and seeing that NNPP is at a brink of collapse in kano by experiencing massive defection, APC is optimistic to deliver kano with over 2million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027.
In a strong message, the Council declared:
“Kwankwaso’s political relevance has come to an end. He now seeks political refuge by any means, knowing that only the APC could provide him cover. But the APC is not a refuge organization, nor is it seeking the likes of Kwankwaso whose presence could only disrupt the unity and progress of the party.”
KASASCO commended National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his tireless efforts and leadership to ensure the party’s victory from the national level to the grassroots. Commendation was also given to Senator Barau Jibrin for his effective political strategy, they also acknowledged the efforts of Engr. Abubakar kabir Bichi, Ministers, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Murtala sule Garo , Alhassan Ado Doguwa, AA zaura, Rabi’u sulaiman Bichi and other party leaders contributing to APC’s strength in Kano and beyond
