Preparations to receive the Governor of Delta State Elder Sheriff Oborevwori and other erstwhile members of the Peoples Democratic Party into the All Progressives Congress has reached fever pitch with the arrival in Asaba of APC Chieftains including the Party’s National Chairman Alhaji Umar Ganduje.
Different convoys vehicles were seen from all directions leading to the state capital with some vehicles bearing the APC logo or the poster of President Bola Tinubu.
Also arrived in Asaba are the Governors of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo; Governor of Cross River State Prince Bassey Otu; Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State; and Former Governor of Edo State Senator Adams Oshiomhole, among other APC ranking officers.
Posters bearing the image of the President which had surfaced few days to the official mass cross carpeting to the APC by the PDP members had multiplied overnight with billboards and posters of President Bola Tinubu now on major streets and bridges in the Asaba.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is expected to be formally inducted into the APC fold in a mega rally planned to hold in Asaba today, with Vice President Kashim Shetima as Special Guest of Honor.
