Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Sunday hosted federal political appointees from Kano State alongside senior leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, where party stakeholders reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and mapped out strategies for victory in the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, convened under the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter, brought together ministers, presidential aides, heads of federal agencies, board chairmen, parastatal heads and other APC leaders to deliberate on the party’s future in Kano State.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, participants unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu, citing what they described as his commitment to the development of Kano State and Nigeria.

The stakeholders also pledged to mobilise widespread support for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, with the aim of delivering Kano State to the APC in the 2027 presidential election.

The meeting congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on their emergence as the APC governorship candidates for Kano State, describing their emergence as a significant milestone for the party.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while expressing full support for Governor Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda.

They also resolved to strengthen party unity and work collectively to secure APC victories in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections across Kano State in 2027.

The inaugural meeting was attended by former Kano State Governor and immediate past APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Kano APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa; ministers, presidential aides, heads of federal agencies, chairmen of parastatals, board members and other federal political appointees from Kano State.

The communiqué issued at the end of the meeting was signed by Senator Basheer Lado, CON, Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and Convener of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter.

The gathering underscored the APC’s determination to consolidate its structures in Kano State and intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
