Engr. Umar Ganduje Demonstrates Compassion, Visits Hospital Patients and Consoles Bereaved Families

In a remarkable display of compassion and community service, the Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Engr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, FNSE, on Monday undertook a series of sympathy and condolence visits to families facing health challenges and bereavement.
As part of the visits, Engr. Ganduje paid a courtesy visit to the father of Hon. Umar Ishaq (Mai Wayo), who is currently receiving treatment at Nasarawa Hospital. During the visit, he offered prayers and words of encouragement, wishing him a speedy recovery and a return to good health.
The REA Executive Director also visited the family of Mallam Sani Gilashi Haruna to express his heartfelt condolences following the death of his beloved daughter, who passed away recently. Engr. Ganduje described the loss as painful and prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and give the family the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
Continuing his humanitarian outreach, Engr. Ganduje also paid a sympathy visit to Hon. Idris Kaugama, who is currently battling illness. He prayed for Allah’s healing mercy upon him and wished him a quick and complete recovery.
Speaking during the visits, Engr. Ganduje emphasized the importance of supporting one another during times of difficulty, noting that standing with the sick and comforting bereaved families are values deeply rooted in faith and humanity.
He offered special prayers for all those facing health challenges and asked Allah (SWT) to restore them to full health, while also praying for the repose of the deceased and comfort for her loved ones.
The visits were accompanied by Dr. Junaidu Yakubu Muhammad, Hon. Ahmad Abbas Ladan, and other associates and community leaders.
Observers described the visits as another reflection of Engr. Ganduje’s people-oriented leadership style and his commitment to maintaining strong bonds with communities through acts of compassion, solidarity, and service.
His gesture serves as a reminder that true leadership extends beyond official duties to sharing in the joys and sorrows of the people.
