Governor Yusuf Mourns Passing of Mother of Emir of Rano

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Maimuna Isah Umar, the mother of the Emir of Rano.
This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Monday
The late Hajiya Maimuna Isah Umar died at the age of 95 after a life devoted to faith, family, and service to humanity.
Governor Yusuf described her death as a great loss not only to the Rano Emirate but to Kano State as a whole.
He noted that the deceased lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation, marked by humility, wisdom, and dedication to Islamic values.
The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Rano, the entire royal family, and the people of Rano Emirate over the irreparable loss.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
Governor Yusuf also prayed for Allah to give the family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
The Governor urged the faithful to remember the deceased in their prayers, especially at this moment of grief.
The funeral prayer (Jana’iza) is scheduled to take place after 2:00 pm.
