Tinubu Approves 65 Ambassadorial Postings, Sends Fani-Kayode, Reno Omokri, Ikpeazu to Key Global Missions

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the diplomatic postings of 65 ambassadorial nominees to various countries and international missions across the world.

The list comprises 31 non-career ambassadors—mainly politicians, former public office holders and technocrats—and 34 career diplomats drawn from Nigeria’s foreign service.

The development is part of efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic presence globally after the recall of ambassadors from foreign missions in 2023. The nominees are expected to assume duty following confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
