Yusuf Condemns Brutal Killing of Kano Mother, Children, Orders Immediate Arrest of Culprits
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep grief and outrage over the brutal killing of a woman and her children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of Kano metropolis, describing the incident as barbaric, senseless and a grave violation of human dignity.
The governor’s reaction was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano.
Governor Yusuf said the tragic murder of a mother and her innocent children has shocked the conscience of the state and left the government and people of Kano in profound sorrow. He described the act as completely unacceptable and vowed that his administration would not tolerate such heinous crimes.
The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the residents of Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters and the entire people of Kano State. He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the departed souls eternal rest and gives their relatives and loved ones the strength to bear the painful loss.
In a firm response to the incident, Governor Yusuf directed the Kano State Police Command to immediately commence a manhunt for the perpetrators, stressing that they must be arrested and prosecuted without delay. He warned that anyone found culpable would face the full wrath of the law, regardless of status or affiliation.
To further strengthen security at the grassroots, the governor also ordered the Kano State Neighborhood Corps to intensify patrols and community surveillance, particularly in vulnerable areas, as part of ongoing efforts to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents.
Governor Yusuf called on residents to remain calm and law-abiding, while cooperating fully with security agencies by providing credible information and promptly reporting suspicious activities. He reassured the public of his administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
The Kano State Government, he emphasized, will continue to work closely with security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure peace, safety and justice for all residents.
