A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) loyal to former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike convened in Abuja on Saturday, with leaders pledging to rebuild internal trust and reposition the party across the country.

In his opening remarks, BoT Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa reaffirmed the group’s commitment to restoring confidence within the party’s ranks. He said the leadership is determined to ensure that congresses are conducted in all states where they remain outstanding.

Senator Ohuabunwa further assured members that the national leadership is prepared to work closely with state chapters to usher in new, credible leadership structures and stabilize the party nationwide.

The meeting is expected to continue deliberations on reconciliation efforts and strategies for strengthening the PDP amid ongoing internal divisions.
