The National Association of Unemployed, Artisans and Employed Persons with Disabilities (NAUAEPD) has applauded the National Productivity Centre (NPC) for its sustained commitment to creating employment opportunities and promoting inclusiveness within the nation’s civil service.

In a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Damian Oklie, the Association praised the NPC for ensuring that persons with disabilities are not left behind in national development plans, especially in the area of job creation and civil service representation.

Comrade Oklie particularly commended the Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, for fostering an enabling environment and championing policies that support economic empowerment among people with disabilities. He described Dr. Dan Agundi’s leadership as “forward-looking and inclusive,” noting that his interventions have helped many members of the Association pursue self-reliance and improved livelihoods.

The Association also acknowledged the DG’s recent donation of ₦250,000 to NAUAEPD, describing the gesture as a reinforcement of the Centre’s practical commitment to uplifting persons with disabilities across the country.

According to the statement, the initiatives introduced by the NPC demonstrate a model of support that other government agencies should emulate. Comrade Oklie assured that the Association will continue to work closely with the Centre to sustain ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening productivity and empowerment among its members.

NAUAEPD reaffirmed its readiness to contribute to national development and expressed confidence that continued collaboration with the NPC will yield greater opportunities for people with disabilities nationwide.
