“My Relationship with Kwankwaso Solid, No Crack” – Governor Yusuf
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to upholding and promoting the ideology of the Kwankwasiyya Movement for the continued progress and development of the state.
“I assure you, Kwankwasiyya followers, that the ideology of the movement, which the present administration is executing, will be sustained. The programmes we have not yet commenced will soon be launched,” the governor stated.
Governor Yusuf made these remarks during the 69th Anniversary Lecture held in honour of the Global Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, His Excellency, Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his residence on Tuesday.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Mustapha Muhammad, on Wednesday, Governor Yusuf emphasized that his relationship with Engr. Kwankwaso remains solid and unshaken.
He stressed that those anticipating division within the movement would be disappointed, saying, “Anybody expecting to see cracks in the Kwankwasiyya family will surely be ashamed.”
Governor Yusuf extolled the outstanding leadership record of Engr. Kwankwaso, describing his life’s journey—from childhood through public service—as a testament to divine blessings and purposeful leadership.
The governor also commended the resource persons who delivered lectures at the event, particularly Prof. Kamilu Sani Fagge and Prof. Bello Kano, for their insightful presentations.
He further prayed to Almighty Allah to decisively deal with enemies of the state who do not wish to see peace and progress under the current administration guided by the Kwankwasiyya principles.
In his remarks, the celebrant, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, expressed deep appreciation for the developmental strides recorded under Governor Yusuf’s leadership. He also thanked all dignitaries and well-wishers who graced the celebration from within and outside the state.
