Kwankwasiyya Supporters Commend Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s Developmental Strides in Kano

As Public Relations Officer and NNPP Kwankwasiyya Chieftain in Dawanau Market—the largest grains market in West Africa—and a committed supporter of the Kwankwasiyya movement, I find it necessary to acknowledge and commend the giant strides being recorded under the leadership of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Since his assumption of office, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has displayed rare leadership qualities anchored on transparency, inclusiveness, and an unshakable determination to uplift the lives of ordinary citizens. His approach to governance embodies the very essence of the Kwankwasiyya philosophy: selfless service, people-oriented policies, and investment in long-term development.

Visible Development Across Sectors

In the area of education, the governor’s declaration of a state of emergency has already begun to yield positive results. The renovation of dilapidated schools, provision of teaching materials, and recruitment of qualified teachers are restoring dignity to public education.

According to me, “Education is the backbone of every society. What Governor Yusuf is doing today will secure the future of millions of children in Kano. It is a bold and historic step that deserves every support from the people,” I said.

In healthcare, Governor Yusuf’s administration has embarked on massive rehabilitation of hospitals and primary healthcare centers, equipping them with modern facilities. This is ensuring that ordinary citizens, regardless of background, can access affordable and quality healthcare.

Support for Business and Trade

For us at Dawanau Market, the heartbeat of West African grain trade, the governor’s interventions are particularly commendable. His policies promoting trade facilitation, market access, and infrastructural development have started improving the fortunes of traders and farmers alike.

“As a trader and leader at Dawanau Market, I can boldly say that Governor Yusuf’s policies are creating opportunities for both farmers and marketers. He understands that when business thrives, society prospers,” I noted.

Small and medium-scale enterprises are also benefitting from empowerment initiatives rolled out under his administration. These policies are rekindling hope among young entrepreneurs and helping to reduce unemployment.

Security and Social Development

The administration has equally strengthened security measures, recognizing that peace is the foundation of progress. Efforts to tackle social vices, empower women, and provide vocational training for youth show a holistic governance style that addresses both economic and social needs.

“Governor Yusuf is not only building roads and hospitals, he is also building people. His investments in youth and women will have long-term benefits for the entire state,” I emphasized.

Restoring Public Confidence

Perhaps the governor’s greatest achievement so far is restoring public confidence in governance. By engaging community leaders, religious clerics, and stakeholders at the grassroots, he has built trust between government and the people.

“For the first time in years, many Kano citizens feel seen and heard by their government. Governor Yusuf listens, consults, and acts. That is true leadership,” I remarked.

Call for Support

On behalf of Kwankwasiyya supporters and the entire business community at Dawanau Market, I reaffirm our unwavering support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. We urge him to sustain the momentum and remain focused on his people-centered agenda.

“Development is not a one-man show. Every citizen has a role to play. I call on the people of Kano to rally behind our governor, pray for him, and support his vision to transform Kano into a modern, prosperous state,” I appealed.

The Kwankwasiyya Spirit

Beyond Governor Yusuf’s individual efforts, it is important to recognize the Kwankwasiyya ideology that continues to inspire his leadership. Rooted in discipline, humility, and service to humanity, Kwankwasiyya has become a model for progressive governance not just in Kano but across Nigeria.

“Kwankwasiyya teaches us that leadership is not about privilege, but about sacrifice. It is about using power to serve the weak, empower the poor, and give hope to the hopeless. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is a living example of this philosophy in action,” I concluded.

With continued prayers, unity, and support for the Kwankwasiyya vision, Kano State is destined for greatness and prosperity under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
