KANO GOVERNMENT FORMS TASKFORCE TO DRIVE VOTER REGISTRATION

 

The Kano State Government has established a high-powered Mobilization Taskforce on Voter Registration to encourage citizens’ participation in the ongoing voter registration exercise. This initiative aligns with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) directives.

 

 

The Taskforce, chaired by Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, Honourable Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, comprises various stakeholders, including government officials, political parties, traditional institutions, civil society organizations, and trade unions. Its primary objective is to mobilize and ensure maximum participation of Kano citizens in the voter registration exercise.

 

 

 

The Taskforce boasts an impressive lineup of members, including:

– Traditional institution representatives

– Civil society organizations

– Trade unions

– Youth and women organizations
